
The day hath arrived. Playoff hockey is upon us. One of the more intriguing series, and certainly the most highly anticipated series by students on campus will be the 4 vs. 5 seed matchup in the Eastern Conference where the Pittsburgh Penguins will take on the Philadelphia Flyers in a best of seven series that begins at 7:30 tonight. Valley Magazine has done it again, and with a better venue. Compared to the cramped conditions of Campus Candy last year Valley Magazine's The Walk 2012 Spring Fashion Show was held in the newest addition to the State College downtown night scene, Levels, as it allowed 18 and older to attend, with 21 and older to drink. Ian Kenney was recently selected for his third and final season as the Drum Major of the Penn State Blue Band. I sat down with him to find out a little more about the guy behind the flips.

The Penn State TOMS Club is hosting today a One State Without Shoes event in conjunction with the TOMS One Day Without Shoes. This event is to raise awareness of the major problem in shoe deficiency in foreign countries by walking an entire day without shoes.

It’s existence has been denied by science, contradicted by logic, and rebutted by rationality, but that isn’t stopping Mark Kasting, a Penn State junior enrolled in the Eberly College of Science.
