
The journey began on August 17th in Charlottesville, Virginia. This afternoon, three and a half months later, a dramatic season will come to an end across the country in San Diego, California as the Penn State Women's Soccer team looks to capture its first ever national championship, facing the North Carolina Tar Heels.

Penn State Men's Hockey faced off against the top-ranked, undefeated Arizona State Sun Devils club hockey team this weekend in an exhibition series, splitting the series as each team won a game.

Penn State defeated Pennsylvania University at the Bryce Jordan Center behind a strong 18-point effort from junior guard Jermaine Marshall. Sophomore DJ Newbill added 13 points, 5 rebounds, 5 assists, and 4 steals in the victory.

As part of the NCAA consent decree, Penn State's athletic integrity monitor George Mitchell has issued his first quarterly report on Penn State's compliance.
"We have received the University’s full cooperation during this initial period of the monitorship," the report says. "Our requests for access to University personnel have been granted without exception."

The days of FTCAP (First-Year Testing, Consulting, and Advising Program) are over. Penn State will be moving to a two-day, overnight program titled NSO (New Student Orientation) beginning this summer.

The Penn State Women's Soccer team landed in San Diego early Wednesday morning. They hope to bring back the program's first ever NCAA Championship.
