Townies. They walk among us. They have cars on campus and do laundry for free at their parents house. Most of the time townies look like regular people, however, this is due to years of vigorous training in hopes of blending in with the rest of the student population. Penn State increased their home winning streak to 20 games, as they quickly disposed of the Illini on Thursday, three sets to none. Deja McClendon had 11 kills to lead the team, and Katie Slay had 5 blocks. Freshman Kendall Pierce had two aces, and deserves a special shoutout for holding serve for a 14-point run in the third set.

Every year during big weekends and large events, hundreds will cram in to get a small taste of nostalgia that was their days at Dear Ol' State. However, the place that would capture the dreams of little kids has now become a place that is barely recognized by thousands of students.

It’s finally here. College basketball season is upon us. Tonight Penn State will open their season at the Bryce Jordan Center against St. Francis. It is the second year under Pat Chambers and the program should take some significant strides forward this season.
