Studying for finals? Tired of the usual studying spots? Try studying at a bar! I did it for the first time this weekend (the things I'll do for the sake of Onward State), and I was quite productive.

I was lucky enough to score a ticket to the State College Quarterback Club's annual Penn State football senior banquet yesterday, held at the Penn Stater hotel. The banquet is attended by the entire football team and coaching staff, and it is where the team awards are announced.
That headline, as weird as it may look, is not a joke. The eighth seeded Penn State Women's Volleyball team began the NCAA tournament with the goal of winning six matches. For the first time since 2006, they did not achieve that goal, falling to the ninth seeded UCLA Bruins (20-25, 22-25. 21-25) in third round play at Lexington, Kentucky Friday night. A week from now, some other team will be crowned national champions officially ending the Nittany Lions' four year run of dominance.
