
On September 27th, a documentary "Why We Dance: The Story of THON" will air on WPSU-TV at 8 p.m. The documentary will give light to parts of the philanthropic effort that most people haven't seen.

If you needed a sure sign that the THON season is right around the corner, look no further. The State College Spikes game on September 2 at 6:05 p.m. will be benefit THON, an annual event held by the local Pittsburgh Pirates minor league affiliate. Tickets are $6 and a portion of the proceeds will go to support THON’s efforts in raising money for pediatric cancer.

It is with a heavy heart that I write of the passing of Isabella Rinier, or as many of the THON family came to know her, Bella.

What has gone on at Penn State over the past eight months is unfathomable, but we are more than just a disgraced football program. Our leaders failed us and the students will be the ones to lead the University back to prominence.

This summer has been very trying for Penn State students and it is without a doubt hard to find something positive in all this mess. However, in Hershey things are moving forward.
