Penn State President Rodney Erickson, once notorious for the frequency of his e-mails, sent out a final spring message this morning to every Penn State student. The e-mail praises Penn Staters for their efforts and conduct since the incidents in November, and outlines several recent achievements that he is particularly proud of.

Last month, Will Martin was named Overall Chairperson of THON 2013. This seemed like a pretty solid decision, as he was THON 2012's OPP Overall and seemed very enthusiastic about THON. According to an email sent by the Borough of State College Parking Department, a new initiative to raise money for THON will begin today. The borough has installed four of six parking "meters" painted by local THON children at various places in the State College area.
The Penn State baseball team, which has won six of it's last seven matchups, will host the Michigan Wolverines this weekend for an important three-game series at Medlar Field. The Nittany Lions (13-19) had won six straight games before a loss to Pittsburgh on Wednesday night as they have been getting a lot more offense than earlier in the season.
