A couple of former Duke basketball players and now rising NBA stars tweeted support for THON this morning. After the jump, look at what Kyrie Irving and Nolan Smith had to say FTK.

As many of us saw throughout the day on Friday through Facebook and Twitter, THON was able to make it onto national TV thanks to some very dedicated students. At around 8:00 on Friday morning Al Roker introduced the TODAY Show viewers to the cause that we all hold very close to our hearts. Featured on national television were Andrew Lambert, Donor and Alumni Relations Overall Anuj Upadhyay, Supply Logistics Overall Pat Howley, and THON 2012 Overall Chairperson Elaine Tanella.

Whether you are a dancer or committee member or you simply plan on spending THON weekend as a supporter in the stands, it is important to prepare yourself for the big event. Mental preparation is extremely important, but don't forget about your body; there are very few negatives to being physically fit!

Arianna Huffington, founder and editor-in-chief of the award-winning Huffington Post, spoke to Penn State students Thursday night in the Eisenhower Auditorium about the importance of leadership and the role that a good night's sleep plays in discovering your inner leader. The acclaimed Greek writer gave a lighthearted speech, even asking for the lights to be turned up just minutes in, but she had a strong message.

As you may well know THON is coming up in t-minus sixteen days (read: really really soon) and I’m sure that y’all can’t wait for that day to finally arrive. What can you do in the meantime? Send the dancers mail for Mail Call! Find out all the details on how to make it and where to send it after the jump.

This month, Penn State students have the opportunity to support charities through song and dance other than THON. Tonight, Penn State Thespians will present MasquerAIDS 2012, an evening of musical numbers from films in order to raise money for the AIDS Project of Centre County. The theme this year will be “From Screen to Scene,” and Thespians will perform segments and songs from Armageddon, Shrek, Titanic, Toy Story 3 and more.
