And the Winner is PENN STATE!
For the 4th year in a row, Penn State has collected more units of blood than Michigan State in the 16th Annual PSU-MSU Blood Donor Challenge!
Final Score:
PSU – 2127
MSU – 1914
Since 1994, Penn State has won the annual contest 11 times, steadily increasing its collection totals each year. With over 2,500 people attempting to donate during the three-week competition, it was not difficult for Penn State to exceed the Challenge’s goal of 2,000 units for the 3rd year in a row (Michigan State has never achieved this feat). Penn State actually collected 106% of its goal!
Penn State Student Red Cross Club Advisor Wendi Keeler (seen here with the Challenge trophy) and a few of the club’s officers are attending this Saturday’s football game in East Lansing. In an on-field pregame ceremony, they will accept the trophy and its bragging rights yet again.
