Onward State is happy to announce that it will be hosting a spring tweet up on Thursday afternoon at 4:30 pm somewhere on the Penn State campus. The weather is forecast to be in the mid 60s. An exact location will be announced soon-- we're trying to figure out the best spot to hold it.
The tweet up is not just an opportunity to see your favorite writers and editors though. You'll also get an early taste of State College's newest culinary trend: cupcakes. Sugar on Top will be providing four different flavors of cupcakes for the event, including their "soon-to-be-famous" pancake and bacon variety.
Watch @OnwardState and @SugarOnTopSC for more information about the tweet up.
As an employee for the ITS Lab Consulting Group here on campus, I spend a lot of time each week in computer labs. I also see a lot of people waiting in lines just to get on a computer. While other users in the lab are checking Facebook or watching the newest episode of LOST, you need to log on and print out that file for your project! Did you know that you can use your laptop computer to print on campus? If not, today is your lucky day!
Remote printing has been around for a couple of years now, but it definitely could be more utilized. There are printers all across campus that are capable of receiving remote print jobs. Some of these include the Atherton, Pollock, Waring, and Redifer labs, Thomas Building, and the HUB. With the ability to print to either black & white printers or color printers, you'll never need to wait in line again at the computer lab to print something out.
Find out how to do it after the jump!
Show up to the State Theatre tonight an hour or two before 9:30 pm to make sure you get a seat at the free advance screening of MacGruber, the movie based on the SNL segment of the same name. No tickets required!

AT&T is sponsoring a pretty cool competition in which entrants can win $10,000 cash in scholarship money for creating a mobile device application. Teams of up to four people can enter a custom-built application for the purpose of e-learning. The rules state that the "innovating e-learning mobile app" should be functional across multiple platforms. Submissions are due by September 15, 2010 and so far there are only ten teams signed up. So my question for you is:
So, Project Blue Pill has finally initialized! Still wondering what it is? According to their press release,
Project Blue Pill is a student-run think-tank start-up that starts up start-ups.
Whoa, quite meta. The press release also goes on to state that Project Blue Pill "listens to other student's ideas and turns them into a reality". Find out what some of these initial ideas are after the jump.
