Penn State Field Hockey Coach Gets Milestone Win

While many people know about Football Coach Joe Paterno going for his 400th career win this fall, they might not know that Penn State Field Hockey Coach Charlene Morett has already beaten him to the punch.

Coach Morett got her 400th career win this past weekend, as Penn State shut out Temple 4-0 at an away game.  Penn State took the doubt out of the game right away. They scored two goals in the first 11 minutes of action.  The Nittany Lions played well, with four different players scoring, proving they have multiple players that opponents have to worry about.

Penn State continued their winning ways on Sunday with a convincing 3-1 win over West Chester.  This game turned into the Kelsey Amy Show as she dominated offensively with one goal and two assists.  Her efforts, combined with another great defensive showing, helped give the Lions their 4th straight victory in this young season.

They will put that winning streak on the line next week when they battle Indiana and Michigan, as Big 10 play begins at home.

Upcoming Schedule:

Oct. 24th- vs. Indiana, 6 p.m.

Oct. 26th- vs. Michigan, 1 p.m.
