Center for Sustainability Holds Video Contest

The Center for Sustainability is teaming up with the Media Commons folks to hold a video contest exploring what our community thinks about sustainability. This contest is so sustainable that it's even offering cash prizes to the winners. The group is looking for videos not longer than 3 minutes that address one of two topics: Sustainable You and Sustainable U.

Ten Questions With Lady Lions Maggie Lucas

Maggie Lucas has made quite an impression in her first year on the Penn State women's basketball team. Lucas leads the Lady Lions in scoring at 16.6 points per game. She has won the Big Ten freshman of the week award six times this season.

Onward State got a chance to speak with Lucas via e-mail to discuss her amazing freshman season.

Graffiti on Campus… But Banksey?

Graffiti appeared on the Penn State campus at Pattee Library and the Forum Building over the weekend. One instance makes reference to "Banksey", but is it an imitator? The real Banksy is a well-known British Graffiti Artist. Next we'll hear that "Weezey" is coming here.

Men’s Volleyball Starts Conference Play with Wins

The Penn State men's volleyball team opened up their conference schedule with two victories last weekend. Joe Sunder led the Nittany Lions in kills in both of the wins.

With the victories, the Nittany Lions improve to 5-1 overall and 2-0 in conference play. Next week, Penn State has two home contests against competition that they are heavily favored to defeat.

Friday: vs. Loyola, 7 p.m.
Saturday: vs. Lewis, 7 p.m.

Icers Take Two Over Golden Rams

Starting the weekend with a 7-1 win at West Chester was certainly good news for the Penn State Icers, who are looking to climb up the ACHA rankings. This Saturday, the Golden Rams came to PSU with a vengeance, possibly upset over their 1 and 11 record, and it showed.
