The Saint Valentine's Day Massacre, State College Area Roller's derby debut, lived up to its' name yesterday evening. Members of the FBI's Hoover's Honeys and the Mafia's Machine Gun Kellys participated in the scrimmage, slamming and hammering into each other. There haven't been this many tumultuous females in one place since the women's suffrage movement.
This past Saturday, Penn State's boxing club held its first home show of the season, with hopefully more to come. Boxers representing Penn State faced many opponents from many schools, including West Virginia University and the University of Maryland, as well as independent boxers from the Altoona boxing club. Most impressive were the women representing Penn State boxing. They came out of the corner swinging and did not let up for all three rounds, surely impressing everyone in attendance.
You've probably already had your Twitter feed and Facebook page blown up by the countless Valentine's Day posts, so I'll promise you that this isn't a cheesy love song playlist to serenade your lady. While some songs may loosely relate to the holiday, let's be honest, most songs have some underlying love theme.

With a playoff berth on the line, the Penn State Icers took on Robert Morris (Pa.) last weekend. After taking the first game on Friday night, the Icers fell in game two on Saturday. Next up for Penn State is a trip to Rhode Island to play in the ESCHL Tournament, where they will play Delaware on Friday.
