Penn State Basketball Drops Another One

Penn State (6-5) traveled to Pittsburgh on Saturday to take on Duquesne (6-4) in the second game of a home-and-away series continuing from last season. The Nittany Lions were looking to rebound after coming off their worst performance in recent memory, losing to Lafayette at home on Wednesday.

I was lucky enough to score a ticket to the State College Quarterback Club's annual Penn State football senior banquet yesterday, held at the Penn Stater hotel. The banquet is attended by the entire football team and coaching staff, and it is where the team awards are announced.

Women’s Volleyball Swept By UCLA In Third Round of Tournament

That headline, as weird as it may look, is not a joke. The eighth seeded Penn State Women's Volleyball team began the NCAA tournament with the goal of winning six matches. For the first time since 2006, they did not achieve that goal, falling to the ninth seeded UCLA Bruins (20-25, 22-25. 21-25) in third round play at Lexington, Kentucky Friday night. A week from now, some other team will be crowned national champions officially ending the Nittany Lions' four year run of dominance.

PSU No Longer Helps Control JoePa Likeness

Penn State no longer helps control the use of Joe Paterno's name, likeness, and image, according to Assistant Director of Public Information Annemarie Mountz.
