Penn State Weekend Sports Wrap-up

This past weekend was a huge one for Penn State athletics with over ten teams competing in tournaments across the nation. Here is a recap of the sporting events that took place this weekend.

Despite Lower Crime, State Patty’s Still a Problem

The crime rate on State Patty's this year was a little bit lower than last year, according to an article in The Daily Collegian. But that doesn't redeem this pointless "holiday."

Levels Nightclub Can’t Handle Their Shit

Remember that time Levels opened? Oh, wait. It still hasn't happened yet. There was yet another delay today in the widely anticipated grand opening of Levels Nightclub when their plumbing system backed up. A post on their Facebook account this afternoon informed potential parties of the plumbing plight, apologizing for the delay, which has become a pattern as this is now their second canceled premier.

Erickson to Host Fireside Chat Today

In a continued effort to communicate with the student body, President Rodney Erickson and VP for Student Affairs, Damon Sims, will host a fireside chat today (February 27th) at the Hintz Alumni Center.

Lady Lions Cruise to a 74-51 Victory Over Minnesota

The Penn State women's basketball team won the Big Ten title outright on Sunday with a 74-51 victory over Minnesota. The game was also Pink Zone at Penn State, with 13,849 in attendance (the 4th-largest Lady Lion crowd ever) supporting the fight against breast cancer.
