Last night, SPA and the Lion Ambassadors provided Penn State students with some Founder's Day entertainment as Parachute and fun. played in front a large crowd at Alumni Hall.

Meridian Halts All Parties Due To State Patty’s Damages

Besides the substantial increase in alcohol-related EMS calls this last State Patty’s Day and those affected by the general debauchery that ensued over the weekend, the “holiday” ended badly for any resident of the Meridian thinking of throwing a party for the rest of the semester. Following the events of this State Patty's Day, it seems that the apartment managers--in a notice given to every resident--have banned parties in any apartment, regardless of a “signed social agreement,” for the rest of the semester. Citing the “inexcusable” damage as the reasoning, the ban will be enforced with a $300 fine for any violators--with no "warnings". Meridian personnel would neither confirm or deny the new policy

Lady Lions Earn Several Postseason Awards

To further cap off an impressive regular season for the Penn State Lady Lions’ basketball team, Head Coach Coquese Washington was selected as the Big Ten Coach of the Year by both her coaching peers and the media. Additionally, junior guard Alex Bentley and sophomore guard Maggie Lucas were both named first team All-Big Ten.

Erickson “Ignites” Budget Discussion During Fireside Chat

Many topics were covered Monday during President Erickson's fireside chat, ranging from State Patty's Day to academic prestige. However, the budget issue took center stage as Erickson and Vice President for Student Affairs Damon Sims took questions from about 35 students and alumni in the Hintz Family Alumni Center.

How far would you walk to see Vanessa Cartlon in concert? Luckily, most students wont need to walk too far next month, as SPA announced that she would be performing at Penn State as part of a concert series that also includes the band Yellowcard.

Fight on State: Guido Relieved of Duties

According to a report from FightOnState.com, Guido D'Elia has been relieved of his duties as Director of Football Communications and Branding. D'Elia was hired in 2004 to rejuvenate a fan base and transform the game-day atmosphere at Beaver Stadium.
