State College feels like it's our own safe little bubble. There's a reason that we're comfortable gallivanting around downtown at 2 a.m. while moderately inebriated. Even females, scantily clad as they're often seen to be, seem content stumbling home alone for several blocks. But maybe they shouldn't be. Since the beginning of the semester, less than two months ago, eleven sexual assaults have been reported to the State College Police Department.
With Halloween on Wednesday, there are plenty of opportunities to celebrate the spirit of the holiday all around Happy Valley this extra-long weekend. Here is a schedule of all the monstrous live music that will be trumpeting in All Hallows' Eve at Penn State.
In order to be excited about what is to come in the future, it is important to understand and appreciate the past. This coming Saturday marks the most anticipated contest to date in a new era of Penn State Football as the Nittany Lions take on the undefeated No. 9 Ohio State Buckeyes. But big games against Ohio State are nothing new. The annual Rally in the Valley will take place tonight in Rec Hall at 6:30, featuring Pat Chambers, Bill O'Brien, Penn State cheerleaders and the Blue Band in order to get excited for the Ohio State game and White Out tomorrow.
