2012 Team to Be Honored On Beaver Stadium Facade

An emotional Senior Day will be extra special tomorrow as the year “2012” will be added to the Beaver Stadium suites facade next to the year 2008 to honor a team that persevered through some of the program’s darkest days.

As of this morning, a cloth is currently draped over the spot where the year is likely to be placed.

A place on the suites facade has normally been reserved for undefeated teams or teams that have won conference or national championships, but this 2012 team and specifically the senior class certainly has earned a special place in program history after everything they have dealt with over the past calendar year.

As the sun sets tomorrow afternoon, the 2012 Penn State Football season will conclude, but for years to come, coaches, fans, players, and everyone associated with Penn State Football will be able to look towards the southeast corner of Beaver Stadium and remember this group of resilient players who showed their love and loyalty when times were tough.
