BJC Stop on Green Day Tour Officially Cancelled

Just two months after the band announced the postponement of tour dates set for early 2013, Green Day has released a revised schedule of appearances. Unfortunately, University Park did not make the cut.

According to a Bernie Punt, Director of Sales and Marketing for the Bryce Jordan Center, their appearance here was not the only one to not be rescheduled.

Originally scheduled for January 11, the initial postponement came following an onstage meltdown by frontman Billie Joe Armstrong at last September’s iHeart Radio Music Festival, leading to a stint in rehab by Armstrong.

We wish the best to Armstrong in his continuing recovery. For any Green Day fans that are really beat up over the cancelation, the band will still be making stops in Pittsburgh and Philadelphia on March 31 and April 3, respectively.
