Candlelight Vigil Will Honor Second Anniversary of Paterno’s Death

An organization known as Inspiration Way will hold a candlelight vigil honoring the second anniversary of Joe Paterno’s death this evening.

The vigil, which begins at 7 p.m., will take place at the Suzanne Pohland Paterno Catholic Student Faith Center on Park Avenue.

Members of Inspiration Way are creating luminaries to decorate the vigil and invite attendees to submit a quote or words to adorn one of the bags used. The group also requests that rather than purchasing floral arrangements for the event, one should make a donation to THON in Joe’s name.

The vigil marks Inspiration Way’s second annual memorial for the late coach. The group describes themselves as “committed to bringing projects to life that will continue to commemorate the positive accomplishments brought about by those who defy the odds believing you are destined to do great things.”

For more information on the vigil, head over to Inspiration Way’s website.
