University Park Campus Given Early Dismissal

For the second time in two weeks, University Park has canceled classes due to snow.

“Continuing heavy snowfall has caused Penn State to cancel scheduled activities at University Park, including classes, for the remainder of the day,” Penn State said in a release. “Road conditions are changing constantly with the continued snowfall, and employees and students are urged to use caution when traveling.”

At 2:04 p.m., the PSUTXT Twitter account announced that classes would be canceled for the remainder of the day. Non-essential staff are permitted to leave at 2:45 p.m.

According to Penn State News, the Kanye West concert scheduled for tonight at the Bryce Jordan Center will go on according to plan.

The campus and town are in a “snow emergency,” which means all cars must be moved from streets and outside lots by midnight tonight.

For those commuting home from campus, be safe!
