SPA Hosting Relaxation Week in Preparation for Finals

If you’re like most Penn State students, you’re probably reading this partly as a desperate attempt to forget about the finals that are now less than a week away. If reading the last part of that sentence made you nauseous, have no fear, the Student Programming Association has exactly the thing to ease the stress that comes with knowing finals are just around the corner.

All this week from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. on the first floor of the HUB, students can find ways to de-stress at SPA’s annual Relaxation Week. Tuesday features the making of your own wax hands, just in case you ever wondered what your real hands looked like, but if they were made of wax. On Wednesday, SPA will be giving out Lucky Bamboo, and on Thursday, Relaxation Week hosts a sign shop. Friday’s grand finale will include massage chairs and a free concert from So Long Solo. However, they may be confused as to where Penn State is.

Sure, this year’s festivities almost exactly mirror last year’s, but there will be plenty of relaxing and de-stressing. And hey, who knows, maybe you’ll even forget about that final that’s worth 30 percent of your grade for a while.

About the Author

Mike Reisman

is a senior Supply Chain Management major with an Economics minor (Read: Business Douche) from South Jersey. He has an intense fear of graduating so please don't bring it up. He writes about stupid things nobody cares about, and student life if the site is low on content that is clearly supposed be funny but is really very unfunny. He is lovingly (?) known around the staff as Baby Mike which may or may not be because he has a child (hint: it’s not). He’s also a second generation Penn Stater who has been wearing Penn State sweatshirts since before he was two, a habit he hasn’t grown out of. If you really hate yourself, you can follow him on twitter at @mike_reisman or email him at [email protected]
