#THON2015 In 55 Tweets

You guys might not have noticed, but we tweeted a little bit during THON. While some tweets were the hilarious handiwork of our then-delirious social media manager, we tried to bring you THON from every angle possible, tweeting more than 1,000 times between @OnwardState and @THONwardState.

So, we hope you’ll pardon the shameless self-promotion forthcoming, but we scrolled through our feeds and found the 55 tweets that tell the story of #THON2015, from the beginning (well, even before that) to the grand total.

With that, let’s relive #THON2015:

Only about 48 hours to go at that point!

That Mike Valania was able to make it through THON spending so much time in his suit is downright insane.

“IT’S GOIN’ DOWN FA REEAALLL!” I wonder when that will stop being stuck in everyone’s heads.

Reminder: The outside world is still a thing during THON.

That was fast!

Bucci is the man. After THON, he declared THON and Penn State students his stars of the week on Sportscenter. Forget what his colleague says.

First achievement unlocked!

Always a smiling face.

We’ll return to that later…

Had to put one more Bucci tweet in here.

Well, OK then!

A THON tradition.

In case you don’t get the joke.

Everyone remembers this feeling, and we all felt it again seeing our endearing athletic director losing her mind on stage.

Required reading for any good Penn Stater, I think.

Our playlist was giving the folks what they wanted!

The Lion didn’t miss a beat.

Not mentioned: The delirium setting in for countless dancers (and certain members of the media).

This was one of the coolest moments of THON, no doubt.

A fist pump moment.

That’s what it’s all about, man.

No dry eyes in the house. I won’t break it up with captions from here:

And from the bottom of our hearts, we do thank all 450,000 of you who accessed Onward State over the weekend and checking our coverage of all 46. Until next year!
