Christian Hackenberg and Akeel Lynch -- who were nominated to the Maxwell Award and Doak Walker Award watch lists, respectively, earlier this month -- are both garnering even more national attention. Hackenberg was named Davey O'Brien Award watch list, which goes to the top quarterback in college football, while Akeel Lynch was named to the Doak Walker Award watch list, presented to the top running back in college football.

The Penn State Board of Trustees will have some serious numbers to mull over on Friday. The board's finance committee passed an operating budget for the 2015-16 fiscal year and the tuition schedule on Thursday morning.

The team will sport one of the most traditional jerseys in all of sports, paying tribute to the legends that walked the field before them. However, the decision to remove names will not be universally accepted, as fans everywhere are sure to be split on the the matter.
Penn State football will be returning to its staple "Black Shoes and Basic Blues" mantra this season, as the team announced this morning that it will be removing names from the back of its iconic jerseys.
