Penn State Athletics Introduces Nittany Lion Fan Council Members

Penn State Intercollegiate Athletics is looking to enhance game day experiences by getting feedback from you, the fans, and has taken another step forward in making that reality.

Back in May, Penn State Athletics announced the formation of the Nittany Lion Fan Council. The idea for the Fan Council came in light of the recent fan voting for the Penn State Whiteout football game. The council’s responsibility is to be a scheduled opportunity for Intercollegiate Athletics to receive feedback from alumni, fans, and students. The group of members on the council will serve a one-year term.

The council, containing 25 members, had the first of its quarterly meetings on July 27. The names of the council members were also announced on Monday and were displayed on campus in a fascinating way — according to Fight On State, the 25 council members were announced via the giant video boards in Beaver Stadium. The boards read  “Penn State Athletics welcomes all the members of our inaugural Fan Council,” then proceeded to display the names of the 25 members of the Nittany Lion Fan Council.
