Lion Ambassadors To Host ‘IM Legend’ Fall Harvest Festival At IM Building

When the IM Building was renovated it received a lot of new features, but is still noticeably absent of a Ferris wheel…until now that is.

As part of their Campus Showcase series, the Lion Ambassadors are hosting an “IM Legend” Fall Harvest Fest at the Intramural Building on Thursday, October 22 from 2-6 p.m. The event will feature food, live country music, games, activities, and free Ferris wheel rides. The Ambassadors will also be giving guests tours of the newly-renovated IM Building.

The second phase of renovations on the building, which were supposed to be completed by June, includes an extension of the indoor track, a gym with three more basketball courts, and various other improvements. The first phase was completed in the spring of 2014, and included the updated exterior, lobby, and addition of several gyms.

In addition to the fun, fall activities, the IM Building will be offering free fitness classes and gym games to help show off the facility. This isn’t the first spot on campus to be highlighted by the Lion Ambassadors — the organization has previously showcased the Palmer Art Museum and Pegula Ice Arena.

“Campus Showcase is a Lion Ambassadors event designed to highlight a selected area of campus,” Lion Ambassador President Brandon Johnson told Penn State.

The event will be free and open to the public, so stop by for gym sports, concession stands, music, and more. Did we mention there’s going to be a Ferris wheel?
