UPUA To Hold Information Sessions For Potential Election Candidates

In the coming months, UPUA will hold elections for its 2016 assembly. With elections season around the corner, pre-election activities will begin to prepare for the 2016 ballot.

One such pre-election event is the information sessions, which is held to inform interested candidates of the rules and regulations they must go through if they want to run for a representative position. Students looking to become further involved with UPUA are strongly encouraged to attend one of these sessions.

The first information session is Monday, February 15 from 7-8 p.m. in room 131 in the HUB. The second will take place Thursday, February 18 from 6-7 p.m. in room 321 in the HUB. Actual election registration will take place from February 22 to March 4.

After last year’s debacle, the Judicial Board will be the sole entity conducting and running the elections this year thanks to legislation passed by the tenth assembly.

If you have any further questions, visit room 102 in the HUB from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
