Overheard On Twitter: Governor Tom Wolf And Senator Bob Casey Give THON A Shoutout

With THON weekend in full swing, Penn Staters have plenty to keep them entertained, from kids dressing up for a fashion show, to numerous bands and musical acts, as well as various other activities, and generally just playing around. So with all the distractions, and the limited cell service, many THON-ers probably missed it when Governor Tom Wolf, and United States Senator Bob Casey gave Penn State, and THON specifically, shout-outs for the work done for the Four Diamonds Fund.

Though the governor probably has some bigger priorities in the short-term, dealing with issues with the state budget that put higher education funding at risk, it’s great to see the governor take his time to recognize the cause.

Mike Reisman

is a senior Supply Chain Management major with an Economics minor (Read: Business Douche) from South Jersey. He has an intense fear of graduating so please don't bring it up. He writes about stupid things nobody cares about, and student life if the site is low on content that is clearly supposed be funny but is really very unfunny. He is lovingly (?) known around the staff as Baby Mike which may or may not be because he has a child (hint: it’s not). He’s also a second generation Penn Stater who has been wearing Penn State sweatshirts since before he was two, a habit he hasn’t grown out of.
