Penn State To Honor Fallen Punters Sam Foltz And Mike Sadler This Saturday
Nebraska’s Sam Foltz and former Michigan State standout Mike Sadler tragically lost their lives in a car accident in Wisconsin while traveling back from working at a kicking camp this past July.
To honor the fallen punters, the Big Ten created a commemorative coin to be used across the conference during this Saturday’s pregame ceremonies, and Penn State will take part in the tribute prior to its 3:30 matchup with Minnesota this Saturday.

The Cornhuskers opened the season against Fresno State with a touching gesture, as they intentionally lined up only 10 men on their first punt. Naturally, the Bulldogs declined the delay-of-game penalty. Ahead of this weekend’s kickoff, captains from both Penn State and Minnesota will head to midfield to celebrate the lives of both Foltz and Sadler and honor their memories, which will certainly not be forgotten.
