Primetime Kickoff Announced For Week Three Matchup Against Georgia State

The Nittany Lions’ matchup against Sun Belt opponent Georgia State will kick off at 7:30 p.m. on Sept. 16. This primetime, week three matchup will air on the Big Ten Network.

Penn State football fans now have at least one night game to look forward to. The Nittany Lions will start the season with a noon matchup against Akron on Sept. 2, followed by the much-anticipated rematch against Pitt, which will kick off at 3:30 p.m. on Sept. 9 in Beaver Stadium. The Nittany Lions’ biggest test of the season – a road game against Ohio State – will also kick off at 3:30 p.m. in Columbus.

The Georgia State Panthers joined the FBS on July 1, 2013, but have posted just a 10-39 record since the move. Penn State is easily the biggest name on the Panthers’ 2017 schedule – and it’ll all be under the lights.
