Student Tickets For Ohio State Game Sell Out In Five Minutes

Student tickets went on sale this morning for this Saturday’s away game at Ohio State, which is arguably one of the biggest regular season games Penn State has played in years. The top-ten clash between No. 2 Penn State and No. 6 Ohio State even enticed ESPN’s College GameDay to cover a Penn State game for two consecutive weeks.

Apparently Penn State students are just as excited, because student tickets for the game sold out this morning in just five minutes, according to Penn State athletics. The athletics department never releases how many tickets are contained in the allotment for each away game, but a spokesperson did say the Student Nittany Lion Club allotment, which was released on Friday, also sold out.

“There weren’t any system issues with the Ohio State student sale; student tickets just went quickly,” a spokesperson for Penn State Athletics said. “At 7:00 a.m., you could buy a ticket and by 7:05 they were all in online carts and sold out.”
