Update 4 p.m. Monday, Jan. 8: Schlow Library will remain closed on Tuesday, January 9. The library asks patrons not to turn in books until it is reopened; any late fees will be waived.

Update 2:45 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 7: Schlow Library will remain closed on Monday, January 8.

Original story: Schlow Library downtown will be closed Sunday, January 6 due to plumbing and temperature issues and will remain closed until the plumbing in the building is operational. These issues originally forced the library to close Saturday afternoon around 1 p.m.

The library asks patrons who currently have materials checked out to hold onto them until the library reopens rather than filling up book returns during the closure. Any fines for overdue books will be waived.

The library’s website is, of course, still available for requesting and renewing materials and checking out eBooks.

For updates on when the library will reopen, visit the Schlow Library website or follow along on Facebook or Twitter. We’ll also update this post with more information as it becomes available.
