Uber, THON Team Up For Final Fundraising Push

THON announced Monday it will partner with Uber and Uber Eats this week to drive up fundraising totals before Sunday’s total reveal. Uber and Uber Eats will donate one dollar for every ride that begins and ends on campus or any food that is delivered to an on campus location.

The collaboration will continue through 5 p.m. Friday — right before the dancers stand at the Bryce Jordan Center.

“The level of passion that Penn State brings to THON every year is both tremendous and inspiring,” Uber Pennsylvania spokesperson Craig Ewer said in a release. “It’s an incredible honor for us to work with THON as this year’s rideshare partner, and we look forward to finding additional ways to support the Penn State community going forward.”

Although the fundraiser ends Friday, both THON and Uber/Uber Eats will work together to facilitate smooth drop off and pick up at the BJC throughout the weekend for students coming to and from THON, including custom THON signage and in-app notifications.

Participants in THON can also expect to receive some Uber swag as part of the weekend giveaway.
