Will HQ Trivia Reveal The Time For THON Dancers?

HQ Trivia has become global craze with users able to win real money by playing short trivia games online, and Penn State is no exception. The app has live shows every day at 3 p.m. and 9 p.m., so Penn State students can be seen in class during the afternoon and at pregames at night listening to Quiz Daddy Scott Rogowsky asking frustrating, random trivia.

The game can become addicting in the quest to answer all 12 questions correctly in hope of splitting the grand prize with the rest of the winners. Dancers this year at THON may start to suffer without playing the game, but more realistically, they might find out what time it is.

Dancer Relations committee members were probably taught to remove the notifications from the app and not allow their dancers to play the game in fear of the dancer figuring out what time it is, but before dancers enter their delirious states, it won’t be hard for them to figure out what’s going on.

Spectators in the stands know the time already and will probably play the game to kill fifteen minutes while standing. Those on the floor who aren’t dancing may even try to play without thinking of the time issue.

Dancers might start to assume the time if they notice a huddle of people on their phones discussing random trivia. Is HQ the next big issue to avoid letting THON dancers figure out the time?

Luckily, the app doesn’t have afternoon shows on the weekends, but Friday and Saturday nights at 9 p.m. are still prime trivia times. Who knows? Maybe Scott Rogowsky will even give THON a shout-out during one of this weekend’s games as a result.
