While You Were Sleeping: What Happened At The BJC Overnight

Ah, the joys of sleep. That luxury is foreign to this year’s dancers by now. But for all of you at home, I hope you got a full night of sleep and returned well-rested for another full day of exciting entertainment and activities at THON 2018.

Here’s what you should know about everything you missed overnight. Spoiler alert: not a lot.

Powder fresh

Slides of Strength clouded the BJC with baby powder as dancers took their shots at slipping down the runway for the first time this weekend.

Letters getting lit

We went on a quest to find the most lit organization letters of THON 2018. Then we found out Boulevard did it first.

Middle School gym class

THON brought out the parachutes, baby.

Eardrums? Not in here!

The overnight shift included a bunch of cover bands and performers and, for the most part, they were uncomfortably loud.

Mop ’til you drop

OPP mopped the floor for the first time this weekend, and the red car won THON’s first ever “car race” around the arena.

BJC eats

In addition to everyone on the floor and in the stands staying up all night, the folks who work at the BJC and in the concession stands are in it for the long haul as well. We put their skills to the test and we weren’t disappointed.

Dab on ’em

We spotted a sign about dabbing and we knew we had to investigate. Go Go Gadjet agreed.
