Saquon Barkley, Chris Godwin Named To NFL’s All-Under-25 Team

Former Penn State football stars Saquon Barkley and Chris Godwin were recently named to the NFL 2020 All-Under-25 Team.

The team, compiled by NFL.com’s Marc Sessler, consists of the NFL’s best players under the age of 25 heading into the 2020 season.

Barkley has stood out as one of the NFL’s brightest young stars during his first two years in the league. The 23-year-old totaled 2,310 rushing yards and 17 rushing touchdowns over his first two seasons in the league. Additionally, he’s hauled in 143 receptions for 1,159 yards and 14 touchdowns.

Barkley is one of two running backs on the team alongside Carolina Panthers star Christian McCaffrey. Browns running back Nick Chubb also joined the list at the “flex” position.

This is now the second consecutive year Barkley has landed on the team.

Godwin, on the other hand, emerged as one of the NFL’s best receivers during the 2019 season, totaling 86 receptions for 1,333 yards and nine touchdowns. He landed an invite to the first Pro Bowl of his career while also being named second-team All-Pro. The Nittany Lion is certain to have another elite season with NFL legend quarterback Tom Brady at the helm in 2020.

Godwin joins Denver’s Courtland Sutton as the only other wideout listed on the team.

Last week, Barkley and Godwin were also ranked on NFL Network’s list of the top 100 players in the league.
