Grant Ament Selected As Premier Lacrosse League All-Star, Team Captain

Former Penn State men’s lacrosse star Grant Ament has been named a Premier Lacrosse League All-Star, the league announced via Twitter Thursday afternoon.

Additionally, fans voted Ament as a team captain for the upcoming All-Star Game. He’ll select his team before the annual event kicks off on July 18 in San Jose, California.

The Pennsylvania native was selected No. 1 overall by the PLL’s Archers in the 2020 PLL College Draft. As an attackman for the team, Ament has tallied seven goals and 15 assists in five games this season while leading the entire league in points (22).

If you were watching ESPN this weekend, you might’ve even noticed Ament break a few ankles en route to a spot on SportsCenter’s Top 10 Plays.

Ament graduated from Penn State in 2020 and certainly left his mark on the men’s lacrosse program. He set the Big Ten’s records for assists (96) and points (126) and broke the NCAA Tournament record for points (25).
