Penn State-Themed Candy Bars To Hunt For This Halloween
It’s almost Halloween again in Happy Valley.
When you go to one of the biggest schools in the country, you’re gonna need some sweets every once and a while. Whether you have to sprint to catch the Bloop or you need to book it from Forum to Sackett for a class, Halloween is a much-needed excuse to treat yourself to some candy.
So, what if Penn State had its own brand of candy? In the spirit of Halloween, let’s take a look at some of our ideas for Penn State-themed candy bars.
Shrewsberry’s Clutch Crunch
Chocolate-covered strawberries have always been a classic dessert. Why not turn it into a candy bar? This light, fresh treat pairs white chocolate with some crunchy berry pieces to celebrate new men’s basketball coach Micah Shrewsberry.
World Famous Grilled Stickies
Grilled Stickies are classic! You’ve seen them in their original form and as a Berkey Creamery flavor, so it’s about time they got a candy bar. This bar pays homage to a classic State College treat in delicious style.
Jahan DOTsons
This one felt a little too obvious. These gumdrops will stick to your fingers as you eat them just as easily as a football locks onto Jahan Dotson’s gloves.
Will Franklin Take A New Job
It’s a bit of a mouthful for a name, but it’s a question that’s been on a lot of Penn Staters’ minds recently. Although, we’ve heard that chocolate and peanut butter go really well with a distracted head coach and some disappointed fans, so maybe this candy bar won’t be half-bad!
Jungle Juice
I’m starting to get a bit concerned. We’re not sure that jungle juice would make the best flavoring for a candy bar, especially considering its questionable production methods and mysterious flavor selection. But maybe the lingering scent of sock socks, the taste of week-old fruit, and candy bars somehow work together?
Walker’s Dirt Bar
This is where we draw the line. The poor Walker Building hasn’t gotten its well-deserved power wash in forever, and now we’re supposed to eat a candy bar that tastes like its layers of dirt buildup? No thanks. We’ll stick to my Shrewsberry’s bar, thank you very much.
Well, what Penn State candy bar caught your eye? What flavor did we miss? Let us know in the comments below. Happy Halloween!
