Penn State Cheer To Host Nationals Send-Off Showcase January 11

To celebrate its departure to a national competition, the Penn State cheerleading team is hosting a send-off showcase at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, January 11.

The event will be held at the Multi-Sport Indoor Facility, and all are welcome to attend. In accordance with Penn State’s indoor masking policy, face coverings are required for this event.

The event is being held to celebrate the team’s departure for the Universal Cheerleaders Association’s College Nationals down at Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando, Florida. This competition gathers teams from around the nation at what UCA calls the “most prestigious collegiate national championship in the country.”

While Penn State has never won the Division I Competition, it has had success at UCA events before, winning the UCA World University Cheerleading Cup in 2017.
