Penn State To Host ‘Startup Week’ Conference From April 4-8

Startup Week, Penn State’s annual entrepreneurship conference and networking event, is returning this spring from April 4 to 8.

This year’s Startup Week will be available both in person and online. Highlights from this year’s agenda include keynote speakers such as Penn State grad and businessman JT Marino, a panel about women in business, and a small business and startup career fair. All keynote sessions and panels will be held as hybrid events, hosted in person at the Penn State Innovation Hub and available online, too.

Several startup competitions will be hosted on-site with cash prizes. In the Happy Valley VC and Innoblue Pitch Competition, students can compete for a reward of up to $25,000 by pitching their startup ideas. The top five finalists will receive access to Happy Valley VC’s Startup Advisory Program, which features a curated library of online resources.

Another competition, hosted by Invent Penn State, features six startup teams competing in a “Shark Tank”-style format for a $30,000 prize.

Startup Week has been an annual event at Penn State since 2016. For more information, visit the event’s website.
