Report: Penn State Hoops To Host Fairleigh Dickinson As Part Of 2022-23 Schedule

Penn State men’s basketball has reportedly added an opponent to its 2022-23 non-conference schedule.

According to CBS Sports insider Jon Rothstein, the Nittany Lions will host the Fairleigh Dickinson Knights at the Bryce Jordan Center next season.

The game would be only the second time in program history that Penn State has played Fairleigh Dickinson. The last time the two teams met was in November 2017, when Penn State won 81-57.

Fairleigh Dickson finished this past season 4-22 overall, and 5-13 within the Northeast Conference.

Penn State has yet to finalize its 2022-23 schedule. However, the Nittany Lions did reveal they would compete in the 2022 Charleston Classic in November. The tournament field will also feature Charleston, Colorado State, Davidson, Furman, Old Dominion, South Carolina, and Virginia Tech.

Penn State finished this past season 14-17 overall and 7-13 within the Big Ten. The Nittany Lions fell to Purdue in the Big Ten Tournament quarterfinals after posting postseason wins over Minnesota and Ohio State.
