Police Continue Investigating North Atherton Bank Robbery, Release New Details & Photos

Ferguson Township police have released new details and photos as they continue to investigate a March 23 bank robbery on North Atherton Street.

According to an update on Thursday, the suspect, who is described as a white male between 5′ 11″ and 6′ 1″, parked a a dark grey 2009 Honda CRV in a nearby parking lot then rode a black bicycle to the PNC Bank at 1408 N. Atherton Street.

He presented a note and demanded cash from bank staff, according to previous reports, then left with an undisclosed amount of cash at about 3:48 p.m.

Police said on Thursday that the suspect then rode back to his vehicle, placed the bicycle in the rear hatch area, and fled the scene. The vehicle, which had its license plate removed, was last seen traveling south on Blue Course Drive toward Whitehall Road.
