Paterno Family Beaver Stadium Run Opens Registration For Blue-White Weekend

Registration is now open for the 2022 Paterno Family Beaver Stadium Run, which is set to take place on Sunday, April 24, following Penn State’s Blue-White spring football game.

The annual event is expected to host more than 3,500 runners who have the option of participating in a 5K run or a 2-mile walk. The run starts at the Bryce Jordan Center and meanders around campus before a grand finale through the tunnel and onto the field in Beaver Stadium.

This year’s event is sponsored by Sheetz and PSECU. Proceeds from the run benefit Special Olympics Pennsylvania, which serves thousands of disabled children and adults across the commonwealth.

Online registration closes at 9 a.m. on Thursday, April 21, but in-person registration will remain open until the morning of the event.

The race has been an annual event on campus since 2010. This year’s event has already raised north of $309,000, nearing its goal of $385,000.
