[Photo Story] Mid-April Winter Weather Blasts Happy Valley With Snow

With temperatures exceeding 70 degrees recently, State College had gotten its first taste of warmer weather to come. That all changed on Monday when a winter storm rolled in and covered the region in snow without much trouble.

AccuWeather reported about three inches of snow accumulating in the State College area, which was enough to cover grassy areas, including the flowers that come with the spring season.

Sidewalks and other surfaces, however, managed to remain clear for the most part.

The snow continued through the afternoon and into the night, stopping at approximately 2 a.m. Tuesday.

Winter weather in mid-April isn’t much fun, but at least it looked pretty.
