?BREAKING? Florida WR Justin Shorter announced his intention to enter the 2023 NFL Draft in an Instagram post Thursday.
The New Jersey native played two seasons at Penn State before making the move to Gainesville in 2020. During his time at Penn State, he had 15 catches for 157 yards. Things never quite clicked for Shorter in Happy Valley, who ultimately departed from the program without ever scoring a touchdown.
His career really took off after his transfer. During his time at Florida, he combined for 1,395 yards and eight touchdowns in his three seasons as a Gator. This season, Shorter finished with a career-high 577 yards.
In September, Sports Illustrated projected that Shorter would be a seventh-round pick in the NFL Draft. However, the redshirt senior’s draft stock has dropped in recent months, according to NFLDraftBuzz.com, which now ranks Shorter as the No. 50 wide receiver prospect this draft cycle.
