Former Penn State Football Commit Deryc Plazz Flips To Miami

The Deryc Plazz recruiting saga appears to have come to an end.

The three-star offensive line recruit announced his commitment to Miami football Friday, three weeks after he decommitted from Penn State.

Plazz became the 15th player to commit to the Nittany Lion recruiting Class of 2024 on June 4 after an official visit to the university on June 2. Plazz later took a step back and admitted he rushed into the decision and needed to reevaluate his options.

Penn State’s offensive line still boasts five recruits from the Class of 2024, three of which have four-star ratings by 247Sports. After the recent commitments of Josiah Brown and Peter Gonzalez, Penn State holds the No. 7-ranked recruiting class in the nation, per 247Sports.
