Your Official Arts Fest 2023 Drinking Game

Arts Fest is upon us once again, folks.

With Arts Fest 2023 ready to kick off this week, it’s time to celebrate one of Central Pennsylvania’s best events of the summer. After a three-year hiatus, Arts Fest returned in 2022 to bring the State College area more artwork, live performances and entertainment, and drunk festival-goers. With another year of Arts Fest festivities on the way, we have you covered with a drinking game to enjoy while you’re back in the area this week.

Whether you’re a first-timer, an alum in town for the festivities, or an Arts Fest veteran upperclassman, take a look at our official Arts Fest 2023 drinking game.

  • Drink if you took a day off from your hotshot finance internship to drink in State College instead.
  • If this is going to be the last time you’re in town for Pugh Street Sheetz, take a drink.
  • Drink if you’re crashing on a friend’s couch because your lease doesn’t start until August.
  • Take a drink if you see a New Jersey plate with a Penn State bumper sticker. Drink if you are the New Jersey car with a Penn State bumper sticker. It doesn’t get more native Pennsylvanian than that.
  • Enjoy a few sips if you spot anyone making a TikTok about their week at Arts Fest, but only if they use the sound “Makeba” by Jain.
  • Take a sip if you’re just glad to be away from your hometown for a couple of days and drinking back at Dear Old State.
  • If you have to give a NSO family directions to the HUB, take a drink.
  • Chug your drink if you spot anyone who looks like they’re dressed to go to Frat Row at some point this week.
  • Take a stroll down to Cafe 210 if you were sweet-talked by a local artist who was being overly nice just to try and sell a piece.
  • Take a drink to drown out some of the Centre County twang and bluegrass music.
  • Drink if your beer of choice is a PBR. You deserve it.
  • Take a sip, and then a bigger sip, if you spot someone wearing a NIL jersey.
  • Take a drink if you didn’t even buy an Arts Fest wristband and are just at Arts Fest to get drunk.
  • If you just realized student football tickets go on sale next week, stop drinking, put it in your calendar, and then drink some more.
  • From Ted McCloskey, My Hero Zero, and OK Otter, take a drink if you heard your favorite band play live.
  • If you bought any art at all, start drinking to forget before the credit card bill is due.
  • Pat yourself on the back, and then take a drink if your beer of choice was brewed in Central Pennsylvania.
  • If you had to drive through Altoona to get here for any reason — we’re sorry, and take a drink.

Enjoy your Arts Fest, and please remember to drink responsibly.
