Penn State Men’s Soccer Alum Pierre Reedy Signs With Charleston Battery

Pierre Reedy is back on this side of the Atlantic.

The former Penn State men’s soccer midfielder signed with the Charleston Battery, the club announced Friday. This is Reedy’s third professional contract after he joined Dundee F.C. in April and spent time with Real Monarchs in 2022.

Charleston is a club playing in the USL Championship, the second division of professional men’s soccer in the United States. It currently sits in third place in the league’s Eastern Conference.

During his brief stint with Dundee, Reedy saw the club get promoted from the Scottish Championship back to the Scottish Premiership. According to Transfermarkt, Reedy played in four matches and contributed 33 minutes to Dundee’s promotion campaign, picking up one yellow card along the way.

Reedy played nearly 1,400 minutes and notched one assist for MLS Next PRO side Real Monarchs, according to Transfermarkt.

With Penn State, Reedy played in 69 games and started 64. He was a team captain from 2019 to 2021. He scored nine goals while recording 12 assists, and was named an All-American five times across his six-year career in Happy Valley.
