[Photo Story] New Changes Debut At HUB
Since the spring semester, there have been some significant changes made at the HUB. Some businesses moved around the student center, while others found a permanent home within the HUB walls. Between sleek new store designs and efficient line expansions, the HUB is looking livelier than ever.
Let’s take a look at some of the new additions and alterations that were made while many students were away this summer.
Starbucks completely remodeled and renovated its HUB location. The swanky, updated location design will aid the flow of foot traffic by moving and expanding the line space. Plus, the aesthetics of the new location are a great distraction while waiting to grab a coffee in the morning.
There is also a new, stylish seating area directly adjacent to the Starbucks.
Cow & Cookie, the collaborative venture between the Berkey Creamery and Penn State Bakery, relocated to a permanent home in the old location of Barney’s Market.
Besides the signature “Quakes” available since the creation of the original stand, the new location also offers a variety of tasty treats from both the Penn State Bakery and Berkey Creamery.
For those planning their next HUB trip to order a Quake, the location offers a self-service touchscreen kiosk.
Barney’s Market, which used to reside in the new location of Cow & Cookie, has now moved to a larger location on the east side of the HUB, next to the THON Store.
This new location features many of the same offerings as the previous one, such as snacks, drinks, and daily essentials.
