Gameday Coverage: No. 6 Penn State vs. Northwestern

The Nittany Lions are back in Illinois, folks.

No. 6 Penn State (4-0, 2-0 Big Ten) will face Northwestern (2-2, 1-1 Big Ten) at noon at Ryan Field in Evanston, Illinois.

The Nittany Lions easily took care of business with a 31-0 victory over Iowa in the White Out last week, while the Wildcats defeated Minnesota 37-34 in overtime.

Let’s dive into how to keep up to date with today’s game in Evanston.

Television

The game will be televised on the Big Ten Network. Mark Followill and Jake Butt will be on the call, and Brooke Fletcher will provide updates from the sidelines.

Radio

Penn State Sports Network — Steve Jones and Jack Ham
Local: 99.5 & 103.7 FM/1450 AM, Sirius/XM/Internet: 83/83/978

Weather

Temperatures should be around 64 degrees at kickoff with nine mph winds, according to AccuWeather. Wind gusts should remain the same while temperatures climb into the low 70s throughout the game. There’s no chance of precipitation, too.

Last Meeting

In a rainy, muddy, defensive battle at Beaver Stadium, the then-ranked No. 11 Nittany Lions triumphed 17-7 over the Wildcats in 2022.

Injuries

Malick Meiga has missed the last three games. Meanwhile, Trey Wallace has been questionable for Penn State’s two most recent outings and has seen limited action.

It’s unclear if the duo will return for the Nittany Lions’ matchup against Northwestern.
