CATA To Launch Updated App December 8

The Centre Area Transportation Authority (CATA) announced it will release an upgraded version of the TransLoc mobile app.

The updated app, CATAGO!, is set to replace TransLoc on Wednesday, December 13, of this year but will be available to download on both iOS and Android devices starting on Friday, December 8.

CATAGO! offers improved service efficiency and rider education. The app will provide users with real-time tracking of CATA vehicles, estimated arrival times, route maps, service alerts, and more.

“Our customers’ satisfaction is our top priority, and we are confident that the CATAGO! app will provide a more efficient and enjoyable experience for everyone,” CATA ADA and OnDemand Programs Manager Derek Sherman said in a release Monday.

CATAGO! is adopting the on-demand microtransit service style that is similar to Uber and Lyft, meaning it will offer a rideshare-friendly, curb-to-curb shuttle service experience. CATAGO! operates within designated zones, with same-day trip reservations available through the mobile app or phone.

“We are excited to launch the new CATAGO! app and look forward to providing an exceptional experience for our riders,” CATA Executive Director and CEO David Rishel said. “This app is a testament to our commitment to providing innovative solutions that meet the needs of our community.”
